A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Lebanese Capital Markets Authority and the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission on the 28^th of August, 2018.

The MoU aims at setting a common framework for mutual technical assistance and exchange of information in a bid to protect investors in both countries.

According to the memo, the authorities in both Cyprus and Lebanon shall provide each other with the fullest mutual assistance in any matters falling within the competence of their jurisdictions and in accordance with their national legislation.

The memorandum signed with Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission is the 12^th international memorandum signed by the Capital Markets Authority under the leadership of Riad Salame, CMA Chairman and Governor of the Central Bank.
